ECO Grant Scheme – Local Authority Delivery (LAD) Scheme
The LAD scheme is designed to help households having low EPC ratings (those with band E, F, G) including those living in poor and energy inefficient homes, increasing fuel poverty. This scheme provides efficient and green energy to the ones having a low income.
The UK government is targeting phasing out high carbon fossil fuel heating and energy usage.
LAD scheme eligibility criteria:
- The household should have a combined income of not more than £30,000
- Homes to be improved should have EPC rating band E, F, G
- 100% subsidy under this scheme
Under this scheme Homeowners meeting the above criteria will be eligible to receive a 100% subsidy for installing efficient energy measures.
Local authorities are given complete jurisdiction to define their own criteria, since the scheme is flexible there are chances to extend it beyond income.

Do I qualify for the LA Flex scheme?
Each authority participating in the ECO scheme has designed different LAD criteria including additional criteria and defining how a household can benefit from this scheme. These authorized bodies are distributed and they have criteria for the areas they have been assigned to. So it is better to check the authority guidelines falling under a particular area.
