The affordable warmth scheme provides a grant to replace old/broken gas boilers with a new boiler.
The funding of your gas boiler depends upon the type of property you live in and several other factors.
If you qualify for the boiler grant under an affordable warmth scheme, the funding will only cover the cost of replacing the central heating boiler. It does not cover the cost of heating systems, radiators, pumps, or control systems.
In case there is additional work required, then one has to pay it separately. Also, the way an affordable warmth scheme is calculated you will not receive a grant for a free boiler, you have to pay some contribution if required.
What will my storage heater grant cover?
The affordable warmth scheme provides a grant to replace broken electric panel heaters and not broken electric storage heaters.
If you qualify for a storage heater grant under an affordable warmth scheme funding will only cover the cost of existing electric panel heaters.
In case there is additional work required, then one has to pay it separately. Also, the way an affordable warmth scheme is calculated you will not receive a grant for a free boiler, you have to pay some contribution if required.
